Harvest Unlimited
Harvest Unlimited teaches congregations how to contact their neighbors and invite them to church, using the telephone, and it provides all of the demographics by zip code. This ministry has proven highly effective throughout the U.S. It not only brings in many new families, but it also infuses the parish with new life. Members of St. Matthias have attended numerous hours of training and the program has begun! If you are interested in participating please contact Father Perschall. Vicki Beeler is the Call Chair and Deacon Moore is the Prayer Chair.

The Stations of the Cross
The Stations of the Cross is a devotion based on the time Jesus carried the cross through the streets of Jerusalem to the place of crucifixion. St. Matthias will walk the Stations of the Cross each Wednesday at 5:30 pm followed by the Eucharist. We will then move to the Parish Hall for a light supper and the Lenten Series.
Lenten Series
The 2007 Lenten Series begins this Wednesday.
The Series will focus on Anglican Spirituality. Each Wednesday we will cover the basic tasks that traditionally have been associated with Lent. Stations of the Cross, Prayer, Scripture Reading, Almsgiving and Fasting.
Safe Church Workshop
March 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Luke's 5923 Royal Ln. Dallas
The workshop focuses on diocesan policies and suggestions regarding safe church environments, as well as child abuse prevention and detection. It is for those who have not previously attended. The workshop is required for all clergy, employees (including clerical and day maintenance personnel), volunteers who supervise youth activities, and parochial school staff. Participation by unpaid Sunday school teachers is not required; however, they are welcome and encouraged to attend. For more information, contact Ellen Gunn 214-826-8310. You should direct questions to the Office of the Canon to the Ordinary at the same phone number.
